Winter Training for 2015 season/ Gear sizing night

Many thanks to everyone who came to our meeting on Wens night. It was nice to see a good turnout and thanks also to those who sent apologies. I thought it was a good constuctive get together and hope everyone is motivated for 2015! The 1st of a block of 6 group training spins will take place on Saturday November 1st from Donohoes Garage at 10am sharp.

  • We’re hoping to have our club Christmas get together on Saturday 6th December. It would be great to get a good group together for a meal ( and possibly a few drinks!). Everyone in the club is very welcome to attend. Possibly looking at the Alamo restaurant in the Riverside but not decided yet and suggestions welcome. Another planned event over the Christmas break is a days skiing or snowboarding. No,we haven’t won the Euromillions – plan is for a day on the slopes of Kilternan rater than Kitzbuhel! The juniors are definitey going but if we could get a bigger crew together it would be good craic and probably reduce the costs. Again all members very welcome. No previous experience needed just a willingness to get a bit damp and fall over a lot!
  • If anyone is definitely interested could they let Mick, Bill or I know by the 1st November and we’ll see about booking a venue and getting prices.

Winter training

Anyone interested in racing in 2015 might like to attend a meeting in Bellefield GAA complex on Wens evening at 8.30pm. With our under 16s graduating up to junior in the A3 ranks next season an outline will be given of their proposed training which will begin at the end of the month. All things going well, and with everyone remaining illness and injury free, the juniors program for 2015 will hopefully include the Gorey 3 Day and Junior tour. The November- January program will also suit A4 riders or those who plan on racing the local leagues in 2015. All welcome to attend and discuss winter training.

(Meeting will be in the room on the right just inside the entrance door to Bellefield. If you go upstairs you’re at the bingo! Because of the bingo parking will be scarce so you may need to park outside the grounds)

Gear sizing night

There will be a gear sizing night with VeloRevolution next Tuesday 21st from 7.30pm in the Riverside Park Hotel. Come along and try for size their entire range of shorts, jerseys, jackets etc in all sizes and fits so that we can be sure the club order arrives in correct sizes whether you are looking for race fit or a, ummm, more generous fit! All welcome.
