Well done Tony Breen, County Champion 2010
A great result for Tony Breen, SERC, probably the youngest County Champion ever, who attacked his breakaway companion Paul Bracken (Slipstream) to win comfortably on his own. Gerry Byrne (Barrow W) was third with unplaced prizewinners as follows; A3, Paul Flynn (Carrick W), A4, Tonto Brady (Slaney), Vet, Frank Dunne(Slaney), Jnr, Luke Maguire (Wexford W)
The Novice/A4 race was won by Joe Rossiter (Wexford Wheelers), 2nd Brian Cullen (Barrow W), 3rd Paddy Kinsella (Wexford W). Unplaced novice Brendan Kinch (Slipstream).
(I wasn’t around for the finish of the Novice/A4 so if anyone has pictures if they upload them to flickr or pix.ie and let me know, I’ll happily post a link from here. I’ve added some great images taken by Dan showing the senior race coming up the hill to the finish)
Turnout was fantastic on a beautiful day with 24 signing on for the senior event and 20 for the novice race. Mucho thanks to race organiser in chief Pat Whitney, lead drivers Larry Doyle and Derek Webb, motor cycle marshall Peter O’Sullivan, commisaires Larry & Chloe Farrell, Paddy Redmond (Red Cross) and the marshalls who manned the course and ensured the riders safety.
