Many thanks to the riders who rode the linal Davidstown event of the season on Tuesday. We let both groups off together for the reduced distance race and put the nights takings up at pricemoney with €20 primes on the finish line of each lap. Prime winners were Reece Young, Fionn Jordan, Paul Bolger and Liam Redmond. After the race we presented the prizes for the A4 league and big congrats to John Halford from SERC the overall winner.

On Tuesday August 26th we will have a one off race on the Davidstown circuit for A4/novice league. We’ll put whatever we take in up as prizes and maybe a few primes along the way. After the race we’ll present prizes for the A4/Novice league.
Note: As this is an additional race on the calendar we have no assigned marshals for the event. If any one is free please come and give a hand to marshal the three junctions or drive a lead car. Sign on from 6.15pm and race will start at 7pm sharp as the light is fading fast.

Wexford 2 Day
Well done to Shane Kelly & Corky in the A3 race. Shane rode strongly all weekend but Corky suffered from a lack of racing recently. In the A4 John Redmond, Paul Bolger, Mick Foley, Jonathan Brady & Phil Skelton started the event. Tonto finished well up in the two A4 sprints with Paul best in the TT. Unfortunately Phil Skelton cramped up on Saturday and couldn’t finish while John Redmond punctured on Sundays stage at Ballymackessey. ( Hard to believe but Johns back wheel had a shiny safety pin neatly stuck in his wheel that must have fallen from the number on the back of someones jersey!).
Well done to Micheal, David, Oliver and all at Wexford Wheelers on a superb event. Good quality fields and some hard racing. Its not easy to run a three or four race event off on the same course at the same time but they pulled it off very well. Great to have the Wexford – Enniscorthy – New Ross route back being raced. Nice change from the usual circuits.
Best of luck to the Slaney riders taking part this weeeknd; A3 Shane Kelly, Ger Leacy & Corky O’Connell. A4 John Redmond, Paul Bolger, Mick Foley, Jonathan Brady & Phil Skelton.
Are there any volunteers out there who would drive a Slaney service car for either Saturdays or Sundays stage? Text me if you are free.
