Underage news from Bill Jordan:
Our small in number but big in heart u/a team went to County Meath today for the Waller cup. Elliot, although still 12y old, was taking part in his first u14 race and was delighted to finish in the prizes by taking a fine 7th place. The ride of the day was by his big brother Reece in the u16 race when he broke away early with Adam Stenson and although Adam Stenson went on to win on his own Reece stayed away from the bunch for a fine 2nd place. Probably the happiest member of the team was Fionn who managed to ride the whole race without feeling the affects of his recent illness and although his race legs are not there yet he still finished comfortably in the bunch. The next day out should be next Sunday at the Frank O’Rourke, good luck lads.
Best Wishes:
All at the club send our very best wishes for a speedy recovery to Ann Jordan’s daughter Rebecca who has suffered a recurrence of illness. Rebecca was in great form at our recent mini Mount Leinster Sportive in Kiltealy where she was again an integral part of our catering crew. We hope to see her back fighting fit for next years Mount Leinster.
