Slaney CC’s Adam Thatcher scored a series of good results at the All Ireland Under Age Championships this weekend. Adam came home with two silver medals (2nd in time trial and 2nd in road race) and 1 bronze medal (3rd in road race) and took the trophy for 2nd overall. Well done Adam.
Well done also to Alan Galavan and Alex Williama who finished 9th and 10th at the Mark Hayden memorial in Kildavin.
Well done also to Stephen, Paddy & Alan who returned safely after sucessfully completing the hardest of sportive rides, the Marmotte, last weekend and Bill Jordan who completed the Ring of Kerry ride, Irelands largest mass participant cycle event. (If anyone would like to write a report on these events, or the W200 or indeed any race report/diary we’d be happy to publish them)
Best of luck to Alex Williams in the final round of the Comeragh league on Tuesday. Alex, overall winner last year, is tied for 1st place with Wexford’s Martin Mizgayski as they enter the decisize race.
Also best of luck to Andrew Bracken from SERC who competes in the Junior Tour of Ireland this week.
