Week-end review

News from this week-end’s racing if filtering in. On Saturday Alex, Murt and Sean Collier travelled to Batterstown for the. According to Sean a group got away relatively early and was never seen again. Unfortunately he punctured during the race and was forced to sit at the back and take no further part in the racing once he was caught again.  A big thank you to the Dundrum(?) support car for lending Sean a wheel once he punctured. Both Murt and Alex finished in the main group.

By all accounts today’s racing in Newbridge was quite tough. and the weather conditions didn’t help. The final split came on the last time up the climb and just as a hail storm hit the group.  Alex managed to move clear with the front group and finish 10th, with Murt finishing in the chasing group. Sean Collier was in his own words; “dropped like a granny on a high nelly” on the last climb.  Bill, Mick, Tomacz and Daniel also took part and hopefully we’ll get some news about their race soon.

In the A race, Frank Dunne finished  15th.
