Slipstream Summer League – Final Results from Pat Maguire
Friday evening saw the final race in the Slipstream CC inter club league take place on the Gorey -Arklow by-pass before it is upgraded to a motorway. The race had a small field on the starting line but it was a quality field with all the south easts top riders signing on to do battle as the cycling season comes towards an end. After about 20k Denis McCarthy (SLIPSTREAM CC Mcdonalds Suzuki Team) and Dave Walsh (Wexford Wheelers Snap On) broke away and opened a gap of 1.20 minutes on the bunch at one stage. The two riders kept away to the finish line where Denis took the honours.

SLIPSTREAM CC Mcdonalds Suzuki will be promoting the following events with in the next few weeks the South East Inter Club Championships will take place on Sunday the 30th of August starting 10.00 am sharp at Toss Byrnes Inch , and on September 19th along with James Tomkins Suzuki Garage we will be promoting our annual North Wexford Hospice Trustand St. Aidans Day Care Centre Fun Charity Cycle. Sponsorships cards are available from various points around the town , all riders must must wear a helmet on the day , the starting point is at the Monument for 2.30 out the old N11 through Inch and onto Arklow and back the same way with various refreshment points along the way, there will be a barbecue that evening followed by music in the Gorey Rugby Club , we would like as many people as possible to take place , there will be team car support for any riders having difficulty on the spin and under age riders must be accumpanied by a parent , for more information contact the following Sam Darcy on 087-7515119 or James Tomkins on 086- 2604097 or 053-9420060 more experienced riders may take an alternative route if required.�
