Cycling Ireland & Licence news;
Well done to Mick Foley, the first Slaney CC rider to take out his 2013 A4 licence! As reported previously online entry is now open for 2013 licences. To encourage online participation theres a draw for €1000 for each entry details here. http://www.cyclingireland.ie/Home/News/Register-Online-and-win–1000.aspx There are also grants of up to €750 available from CI this year to clubs with up to 100 members for hitting minimum online registration targets by March 31st 2013 so all the more reason to complete your entry online.
Licence Amnesty: Up to 1st April 2013 any full racing licence holder in 2012 can request an upgrade from A4 to A3 or A3 to A2 and so on (or downgrade if desired) in 2013 by filling in the appropriate request form here http://www.cyclingireland.ie/Home/News/Grading-Amnesty-Available-until-Dec-10th.aspx Remember there will be NO one day licences issued at races at the start of the season so if you intend racing open races in March you must get a full licence.
