Sproket Rocket

220111-09

The Sproket Rocket programme will resume at Donohoe’s Garage at 2pm next Saturday, weather permitting.  The forecast looks good but check web site in case of changes.  Today saw the final module completed in Marshalstown in glorious sunshine.  We did today’s lesson in the playing field with balancing on the plank a big favourite.  The kids enjoyed it so much they want me to continue with more skills as part of their curriculum with a view to getting the older children on the road and cycling to school.  Working in Marshalstown was a pleasure.  The staff made us feel really welcome, the coffee and chocolate biscuits was a bonus!  A big thanks to School Principal Dave Sheehan whose enthusiasm for the project matched that of the pupils.  Tomorrow is the last day in Glenbrien but Rathnure and Crossabeg are next on the list.  It was amazing to see the skill levels improve from week to week and this must be the way forward for all clubs.  Well done to Aisling and Rachel in Cycling Ireland and I believe there may be extra modules in the pipeline.  See you all on Saturday.
