Slaney League Round 1

Last night saw the Slaney League Races recommence after a years absence and in change of location. Now being ran on the old Crossabeg circuit 21 rider’s signed on to race on a wet Wednesday evening. From the get go Alan Mackey from Rossbury stretched the field and won the 8 lap contest with Luke Goff finishing in 2nd place ahead of Hugh Byrne from Barrow Wheelers in 3rd.

  3. Hugh Byrne, Barrow Wheelers 6pts
  4. Mick Walsh, Barrow Wheelers 5pts
  5. Dave Whitty, Barrow Wheelers 4pts
  6. David O’Neill, Wexford Wheelers 3pts
  7. Emmet Egan, Gorey CC 2pts
  8. David Murphy, Rossbury 1pt

First Over 50 was Fran Maddock/Slaney CC and 9th place over all in the race will receive 10pts for the Over 50 League.

In the Novice League, first unplaced novice was  Alan O’Rourke/Slaney CC ( 10pts) with Gillian Power/ Slaney CC (8pts) being the second unplaced novice.
