Slaney CC have been confirmed as the host club for the 2013 National Youth Championships which will take place on the 24th/25th of August next year.
The club were informed by Geoff Liffey, CEO of Cycling Ireland, this week that our application, made last July, was successful. The championships consist of a road race, time trial and criterium held over two days for U12, U14 and U16 boys and girls. The championships attracts entries from the 32 counties and we look forward to having a huge influx of youth riders to Enniscorthy next year. Its also a great opportunity for the super young riders from all the clubs in County Wexford to showcase their talent in a national championships on their own doorsteps.
Planning for the event will continue in earnest from the start of the New Year and we’ll be calling on all our members, friends and supporters to make it for fantastic event next August for all our young riders.
