SCC AGM 2019

The club held it’s Annual General meeting in the Riverside Hotel, Friday November 30th and was attended by a large number of our members.

Rob Webster opened proceedings and gave a very positive review of the club’s achievements over the past year which included the successful running of the Mount Leinster Challenge, Eddie Tobin Road Race, James Butler Time Trial, the Weekend Tour’s, the 20th Anniversary Tour de France spin’s, the SCC Tour of the Pyrenees,  how our members joined a combined Wexford club contingent in the La Ronde Picarde in Northern France and how the racing section of the club had another outstanding year flying around the roads of the country. With these achievements in the bag, the biggest recognition for Slaney was to have nominees in the South East Radio Sports Awards and to have Gillian Power win Female Cyclist of the Year and the club itself being voted Club of the Year.

Murry McDonald gave a report as Treasurer which showed the club to be in a very good position going into 2019.

The membership fee will be restructured for 2019. Membership fee’s remain the same until after January 31st when it will rise slightly. This is an effort to have membership fee’s paid in a timely manner.
