Noel Redmond Memorial Road Race

Congrats to David Walsh, Wexford Wheelers, who won this morning on possibly the only unfrozen road in the county! Thanks to all who travelled on such a cold morning especially with some of the roads being so dangerous. Think we’ll run the hamper race in July from now on!


Results:   Adults:  1st David Walsh WW;  2nd Jason Stack Usher;  3rd Alan Galavan SCC;  4th Anthony Mills SERC;  5th Tony Breen SERC;  6th Seamus Kelly Usher; 7th  Denis O’Brien  Barrow.  1st U/placed Vet  Sean Bracken  Usher.

Under age results:  U/6    Brad Walsh WW.  U/8 Jake Walsh WW. U/12  Adam Thatcher SCC;  2nd Aishling Fitzpatrick  Slipstream;  3rd Rebecca Heaney SERC  U/14 Niall Heffernan SERC.   U/16  Tony Breen (who went in the main race and took 6th!) 

Thanks to race organiser Pat Whitney, all the marshalls and spectators for their support on such a cold day. Thanks to everyone who provided spot prizes for the riders. We had no incidents duting the race but Caimin Ruth took a fall on the way to the race hurting his hip and damaging (in reverse order) his brake levers, rear changer and his pride.
