Please pack pedals, shoes and helmet with main luggage just in case there is an issue with the number of bikes.

Owen Breslin will provide transport as last year. Cost – 44eur return.  Hopefully Paddy will arrange the Van Man at Arrecife.  We hope to leave Enniscorthy at 2.am sharp so  have bike boxes ready for loading at 1.30am at the Promenade.  Times may change closer to dep date so keep in touch.

Barrow 100K

Congrats to Barrow Wheelers on the inaugural running of their 100k Sportive.  A superb event, well organised and an interesting choice of course.  We’ll be back.  Slaney were well represented with 19 riders. For up to date touring league points (courtesy of Liam Ruth) click on tab at top of page.

Training

The racing section left Whitford yesterday morning and completed a tough 130km ride led by race capt., Alex Williams.  Not for the faint hearted!  They were joined by Alan Galavan from Carlow and according to Frank Dunne, Alan won’t be in the novice category for too long.  The group will meet in Gorey next Sunday @ 9.30am.

New Member

The club extends a warm welcome to new member James Walsh from Oylegate.  James comes from a well known GAA family and represented Oylegate/Glenbrien at u/age and senior level.  He has his sights set on touring for the moment but after 70kms on Sunday he still looked comfortable.  I didn’t mention the Gorey!
