Slaney have teams in the Rás Mumhan and Gorey 3 day stage races again this Easter. If anyone has the urge to be Johan Bruyneel or Bjarne Riis for the weekend lets hear from you! I’ve opened a thread on the forum but if anyone is interested in being part of support team for either race we’d like to hear from you.
Slipstream are holding a third training race next Sunday on the usual course starting at Toss Byrnes in Inch. Good numbers there for the past few weeks on a fast and safe course.
Most of the licences have arrived. I will bring them with me to the Slipstream race on Sunday if anyone wants to collect them. I don’t know of anyone going to the open races this weekend but if you are, and need your licence, give me a text and we’ll arrange to meet up.
and finally…..if anyone wants to put their extensive winter training to a real test of stamina & endurance (not to mention skill), my mother is organising a Ceili in the Riverside Park hotel on 9th March. Tickets are €10 and all proceeds go the the South East Radiotherapy Trust which provides transport for patients who have to travel on a daily basis from Wexford to the Whitfield hospital in Waterford for radium treatment and we know from experience the great service they provide.
