The 2014 Mount Leinster Challenge 100km & 140km takes place on Saturday May 17th
We’re getting close to a full house for this years Mount Leinster Challenge so if you haven’t entered yet nows the time! Check out more details http://www.slaneycyclingclub.com/?page_id=33. Entry is again restricted to 300 riders, no entry on the day and online entry is still open. (As in previous years we have a separate entry process for Slaney members so don’t enter online to leave the 300 places for visitors.)
- Can Slaney members NOT riding the Mount Leinster this year give a hand to run the event? Mobile marshals required for various points along the route and on the mountain, to drive support cars and to help at Bellefield as the riders arrive back. While the Kiltealy crew have been busy preparing the goodies if anyone would like to bring a plate of sandwiches or cakes to Bellefield they would be gratefully accepted! Give Mick Howe or myself a text to confirm if you can help. This is the clubs only fundraiser of the year so its all hands on deck please. If you are riding please arrive early and help with the car parking or sign on.
- We’d like to thank our Mount Leinster Challenge event supporters;
-
Climb like a Columbian?? – take on our Strava Challenge! Like last year the rider who posts the fastest time on the Mount Leinster Strava will win a cycling jersey – this year its a Staying Alive at 1.5m jersey as we support Phil Skeltons cycling safety campaigns.
