James Butler Memorial 5Mile TT.

Yes it’s that time of year again.  October is the time of year when “Joe cyclist” realises he is actually married, has a family, a job and there is a lawnmower at the rear of the shed behind the racing bike, low profile, numerous spare wheels, etc.  Occasionally you can see him doing a spot of D.I.Y as he works up the brownie points for next season even though he told everyone  (five years ago) that he was finished racing.  That’s why it’s important to formally finish the season so “Joe cyclist” doesn’t continue on training for the hamper race leaving the lawn like Jurasic Park, gutters like window boxes and the lawnmower, like the family car overdue a service by two years.

So Sunday October 5th is the date for the James Butler Cup. Sign on at Mernaghs car park, Oylegate at 10am. First rider off at 10.45.  This is an inter-club event and club licences must be produced.  Underage riders must be accompanied by parents.
