Enniscorthy RFC/ Slaney CC sponsored cycle 17th Feb

Thanks to everyone who rode or helped today at the ride. Thanks to the rugby club for their help and facilities, all the drivers and to Paddy Redmond and the Irish Red Cross. A chilly head and crosswind to start was followed by a lovely tail wind home. Apart from the adult ride we also had about 50 young rugby stars cycling from Oylegate to the rugby club. Some pictures from the start available HERE and a few more from Phil below

NOTE: As the majority of members are taking part in this spin on Sunday there will be NO Sunday tour from the Duffry this week. Thanks for supporting the event.

Enniscorthy RFC are running a sponsored cycled on Sunday February 17th to raise funds for their Mini Rugby underage teams. Mick Byrne is one of the organisers and the proposed route is from Enniscorthy – New Ross – Wexford – Enniscorthy. There will be a refreshments stop at Ballinaboola and back at the finish. If the roughly 60 miles is too much there will be a shorter option turning off the New Ross road and heading for Ballinaboola via Adamstown. Sponsorship cards available from Mick or sign on on the day for €10.

Sign on – at Enniscorthy Rugby Club, Ross Road, Enniscorthy from 8.30 – 9.15. Roll out at 9.30am SHARP. (Rugby club will be signposted from Pettits Supervalu).

Tea/coffee at sign on and refreshments afterwards in rugby club bar, showers and changing rooms available and safe parking. Lead cars, broom wagon and mechanic on call.

A good leisure spin is planned with also an opportunity for a faster paced group training ride for those with the racing season ahead in mind.
