All at Slaney CC would like to extend our sympathy to Marie Whitney whose father, Micheal Collins, passed away this evening. Micheal , a great Wexford GAA sportsman of the 60’s and 70’s who captained the Wexford team that won the 1970 Leinster hurling final and was subsequently defeated by Cork in the All Ireland final, was suffering from a serious illness for only the past few months. Arrangements: Micheal is reposing at Crosbies funeral home until Monday when he will be brought to St Aidans Cathedral before 12.00 Mass.
