Wexford County Hill Climb Champs
1st Martin Mizgajski Barrow Wheelers 2nd Richard Barry St. Finbarrs 3rd Fionn Jordan Slaney CC
Well done to our U16 rider Fionn Jordan who finished a great 3rd place overall in the Wexford Hill Climbs champs on Saturday evening. The TT was held on the closed road up the 2.6km climb of Sliabh Coillite. Well done to Martin and his team of helpers from Barrow Wheelers who put on a great event. It was a pity the turnout was small as the course is beautiful, the evening was warm and sunny and its not often you get to roll down a start ramp! Full results and times later.
********************
Well done Martin Mizgajski and Barrow Wheelers who have taken on the task of organising this years hill climb champs. The event will take place at 5.00pm next Saturday on the well known Sliabh Coillte climb opposite the JFK Park near New Ross. All catagories will be catered for from A1 to underage. Its only a few minutes of pain so hopefully a good turnout this year.
Prize presentation night
The prizes for the Slipstream league, the South East Road Club league, the Liam Bennett TT league and the Wexford Wheelers league will be presented at a function at the Boat club in Wexford on Friday Sept 26th. Also presented will be the medals from the County Championships. The night is being supported by Wexford Cycling and there will be a BBQ/food available free of charge. The clubs will re post the winners of the various leagues on their websites and it would be great to have a good turn out from all the clubs at the event. The more the merrier – husbands, wives, boyfriends and girlfriends all welcome.
If riders could bring back their race numbers that night (with their name & telephone number written on the back) they will be collected and the €10 deposit will be refunded thru paypal in the following weeks. If you have a number and can’t attend the ask someone who is going to bring your number.
James Butler Memorial TT – to be confirmed
