When: Sunday October 12th ’08
Sign On: Slaney Inn Car Park, Oylegate, Co Wexford at 9 45am. Entry fee 10 euro. All proceeds/donations go directly to the Coffee Kids Charity (www.coffeekids.org)
Route 1. 100kms: Oylegate-Enniscorthy-New Ross- Wexford (Barntown Roundabout) and back to Oylegate where refreshments will be served in the Slaney Inn.
Route 2. 60kms: Oylegate-Enniscorthy-Ballymackesy-Adamstown-Carrigbyrne-Barntown roundabout and finish in Oylegate.
Route details may change depending on weather conditions. The Coffee Kids is an exceptional charity whose work amongst the villagers and coffee workers of the plantations of Nicaragua is inspirational. The building of schools and co-ops in these impoverished coffee villages to help these resilient and resourceful people has been mainly done through fund raising. So if you can make it on Sunday week we would love to see you for a leisurely cycle and at the same time help those worse off than ourselves even in these uncertain times. I was going to sell the Ridley but its probably worth more than the house now! �
