A very successful meeting was held in Bellefield last night and was attended by 25 members. Among the topics discussed were the upcoming tour de france commemoration trip to Cork in July.
14 members committed to actually riding the event and the remainder present have volunteered to help out in various other ways. As this is probably the biggest event in the history of the club it is vital that all members of the club make themselves available on the weekend of july 5th/6th . Many thanks was expressed to Pat, Liam and Paul, for their trojan work in relation to this event.
A sub committee was appointed to run the now well established Mount Leinster challenge in May, and it is anticipated that this event will attract the usual large entry.
Details of travel arrangements for the training camp in Lanzarote are now available for the people traveling, all involved will be informed by text over the coming days.
It was decided to submit a further order for club gear and all members please note that a deposit will be required before the order can be submitted , of which more anon!
Maura Ruth was again appointed as the liaison officer with the local council to co-ordinate the running of the mini tour in the strawberry fair, and thanks was extended to maura for performing this role for the last number of years.
Finally, it was nice to see the return of many of last year’s members for the first time this year!
