Everyone at the club sends our best wishes for a speedy recovery to Paul Nolan who had a bad fall last Sunday morning and was taken to Wexford General Hospital and then to Ardkeen. Paul had been in great form on the bike and was back competing in the Liam Bennett TT series and the Camross races in the last few weeks. Hopefully the injury is not as bad as feared and Paul will be on the road to recovery very soon.
UPDATE: Paul is still in Ardkeen Hospital after undergoing surgery during the week. Unfortunately he suffered some serious injuries and he will be in hospital for some time. Paul asked me to thank the many cyclists and friends from Slaney CC and the wider cycling community who have sent get well messages, texts. As he is undergoing various intensive treatments and physio no visitors are allowed at present. We wish Paul well and hope he will be home soon.
