Another round of our summer TT league took place on Thursday evening. 14 riders lined out – 9 under age, 5 adults and with another 5 adults chaporoning the youngest riders. Slaney CC’s Adam Thatcher scored a series of good results at the All Ireland Under Age Championships this weekend. Adam came home with two silver medals (2nd in time trial and 2nd in road race) and 1 bronze medal (3rd in road race) and took the trophy for 2nd overall. Well done Adam.

This years Tour of Ireland pro race, featuring Astana’s Lance Armstrong, will tackle Mount Leinster on Friday, 21st August on the way to a stage finish in Waterford. Columbia HTC with Mark Cavandish have also confirmed they are taking part.

The 6th round of our novice & underage training league took place last Thursday evening. Event organiser Pat Whitney was delighted to have 11 competitors plus the cyclists chaperoning the youngest riders for safety on the busy road.
