Another enjoyable day on the tour. Just over 70kms and a climb over Forth Mountain to warm us up for the final blast for the finish line in Enniscorthy. ( Lots of glum faces above when we discovered the Mountain Bar was’nt an early house!)Â

As usual the Des Hanlon proved a hard days work with Alan Galavan getting the clubs best result as 4th overall and 1st unplaced S3 in the combined race. Alan has accumulated 6 points in his first month of bike racing and will soon be in the S2 category at this rate!Â

All at Slaney CC would wish to send their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Martin Tobin who died suddenly yesterday. Martin, brother of the late Eddie Tobin, was a popular member of the club in the late seventies and eighties and enjoyed racing and touring with the club.
