With the season still in it’s early stages, Alex Williams is 1 point away from upgrading to B Cat. There is no news yet on today’s racing so who knows…..he may it already!

So the Gorey is over for yet another year and SCC riders have once again improved on last’s years performance. Today stage had no bearing on the GC as all contenders finished in the main group and our riders GC standings are as follows:

The Gorey got off to a fast and furios start today, with the winning move forming shortly after the start. First a group of 7 got away (including Maritn Gill from the Wexford Wheelers)Â and then a further 8 joined them to form the breakaway group which was never to be seen again.

The Slaney interest was in the 2 lap SeniorC/V/W/J race with Bill Jordan, Alex and Murt, Sean Collier and Heather Purcell taking part. I think Daniel and Tomasz may also have been there but I didn’t see either of them.
