We have a registration night in Bellefield GAA complex on Thursday evening 12th from 8pm to 9pm. Membership remains unchanged again this year but Cycling Ireland fees are up €5. We STRONGLY advise all members to take out a Cycling Ireland Licence even if only touring. By allowing unlicenced, uninsured riders take part in club organised events, either touring or racing, we are leaving the club wide open to the risk of litigation in the event of accident or injury to a third party. Our advice from Cycling Ireland is that a club policy should be in place that allows riders take part in club events (non racing) for 3 or 4 weeks on an introductory basis but they then must become club members and take out the relevent licence.

- Full Racing Licence A1-A4 €125

If you had a licence before, then I have your details online and you just need to bring a cheque. If first application I need cheque plus photocopy of drivers licence/passport or birth cert. All underage applications must also have a new parental consent form each year. If joining from another club I need a letter of release from your old club. You can order licence online at Cycling Ireland but licence won’t be vetted until club membership is paid. Please make all cheques out to Slaney CC for membership or licences.
We’ll get the first batch of licences processed quickly after the meeting. If you can’t make the reg night it would save a lot of hassle if we could have all memberships and licences paid for by the end of the month and out of the way.
