As in previous years we plan on arranging a night for members requiring licences to submit any details required and pay the relevent fees. Its handier for the secretary and treasurer if this is all sorted early and in one night and doesn’t drag on until the new season is upon us.
This years meeting will be held in the first week of January (date/venue willl be confirmed later) to enable members pay for 2010 Licences and club membership. Club membership fee for 2010 is €30 with family membership €50. We will need a signed parental consent form for each rider under 18. Membership and Parental consent forms can be downloaded from the Join Us page and will also be available on the night. We want to get all memberships paid up and out of the way early so we would be obliged if members could attend the meeting or forward their details/payment by post to either the secretary or treasurer.
Cycling Ireland licence fees for 2010 are as follows: Club competition licence €55 (covers leisure riding and club races, tp insurance etc.), Full Racing Licence €120 (Senior, Veterans). Under12 /14 Licences €5 ( Parental Consent forms must also be returned). If its your first licence, in any category, a copy of driving licence/passport or birth cert will also be required. All cheques should be payable to Slaney CC and the club will update and order/renew licences online and will then issue one settlement cheque to Cycling Ireland for all the licences. The licences and handbooks will then be back in good time for the new season.
If members prefer, they can order their licence online themselves by logging on to the CI website and the secretary will be then be alerted that their application is available for vetting. Licences cannot be processed by Cycling Ireland until the club confirms up to date membership. (NOTE: The new Cycling Ireland website is not available for the moment.)
Slaney CC recommend that all cycling members take out a Cycling Ireland licence as it offers the rider and the club some protection in the event of an accident or claim. You will not be able to compete in any club racing events in 2010 without at least a club competition licence.
