For the past few years we’ve arranged a night for members requiring licences to submit any details required and pay the relevent fees. Its handier for the secretary and treasurer if this is all sorted early and in one night and doesn’t drag on until the new season is upon us. If you can’t make it on the night give your details/payment to another member who will be there.
This years meeting will be held on Tuesday 6th January 2009 at Bellefield GAA Complex to enable members pay for 2009 Licences and membership. As decided at the AGM the club membership fee for 2009 is unchanged at €25 and includes the SCC “beanie” cap which are been printed at the moment. We are also introducing a family membership of €50 for 2 adults and as many children as you lay claim to! We want to get all memberships paid up and out of the way early so if you didn’t pay at the the AGM please have a cheque ready on the 6th.
Cycling Ireland have increased the licence fees by €5 so the fees for 2009 are as follows: Club licence €55 (covers leisure riding and club races, tp insurance etc.), Junior Licence €65, Full Racing Licence €120 (Senior, Veterans). Underage Licences €5 ( Parental Consent forms must also be returned). If its your first licence, in any category, a copy of driving licence/passport or birth cert will also be required. All cheques should be payable to Slaney CC and the club will then issue one settlement cheque to Cycling Ireland for all the licences. The licences and handbooks will then be back in good time for the new season.
If members prefer, they can order their licence online themselves by logging on to the CI website and the secretary will be then be alerted that their application is available for vetting.
Slaney CC recommend that all cycling members take out a Cycling Ireland licence as it offers the rider and the club some protection in the event of an accident or claim.
